The Annual Cognitive Science conference draws together a stellar lineup of emerging scholars. This year our lab had a chance to present a poster titled “Acquisition of Conditionals” (Grigoroglou & Ganea).

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY: Interview with Professor Grigoroglou

Myrto Grigoroglou gave an interview to the Arts and Science News about her research and how children acquire language. The interview was part of the College’s celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8 by highlighting the groundbreaking contributions and unique stories of A&S women.

CONGRATULATIONS TO 
PROFESSOR GRIGOROGLOU ON RECEIVING A CONNAUGHT NEW RESEARCHER AWARD

Connaught New Researcher Award recognizes the distinguished faculty members to establish competitive research programs. Connaught is the largest internal university research funding program in Canada. Since 1972, it has awarded more than $174.8 million to U of T scholars. This year Myrto Grigoroglou has been awarded a Connaught New Researcher Award on “Constructing common ground in speech and gesture”.

PRESENTATION AT THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON MUTUAL KNOWLEDGE

The Conference on Mutual Knowledge (MK40) brings together psychologists, philosophers, computational researchers, and linguists to discuss questions about common knowledge and its role. The workshop marks its 40 year anniversary and is organized by the Linguistics Dept at UCL. This summer Myrto Grigoroglou presented her work at the Conference with Anna Papafragou titled "Speaker adjustments to addressees during language production"
